Yeast Infection Causes – Your Home

Hidden mold colonizing in your house / apartment can silently misery through strange illness nobody can trace to any particular cause.

Fall of 2011 I wrote anxiety therapy articles on how candida can cause anxiety and then how to treat the yeast infection.

Over the course of 2010 and 2011 my boyfriend Monty and I had some funky health issues.  I was battling a lot of yeast in my body; tiredness, run down, etc. I thought most of it was me continuing to rebuild my body after getting sick in 2007.’

My boyfriend has had asthma his whole life. In the last 2 years it came back frequently and we blamed it on harvest dust, milk overload, smoke exposure, or cat inundation.

February 2012 we moved from our apartment. We knew there was mold by the sliding glass door to the patio, but we had no idea how much mold was in there until we moved the furniture. There was mold in about 20% of the apartment!

We couldn’t believe as we lifted tables, book cases, and the couch how much black mold was secretly hiding under everything. The carpet was also full of mold but you couldn’t see it.

It’s been two months since we’ve moved out and our health has changed drastically.

The first few weeks we got really sick sick; we weren’t sure if it was viral or we had a massive die-off of systemic mold in our body.  Monty and I coughed and hacked all night long. We had sore throats and we were drag-your-but exhausted.

After that initial two week purge, our health has improved by leaps and bounds. Monty hasn’t had any asthma bouts when just a few months ago it was a weekly occurrence.

I have noticed I am not having to take massive amounts of anti-candida / yeast supplements to keep the ever looming yeast at bay.  I can also eat foods that normally would have triggered yeast problems and I don’t get a “bloom”.

Our feeling is that the mold in the apartment was keeping our immune suppressed and constantly under attack.

Can you imagine how you’d feel if every day for months you were in a boxing match? That’s what our immune systems were doing and it was trashed.

If you have problems with feeling run down, chronic yeast infections, asthma, food allergies, frequent colds, and irritated sinus – consider your home as a cause of yeast infections.

Check your carpet, under furniture, under wallpaper (yes, this is true!), under laminate floor (had that happen too, see pic at the top of this post), between drywall and exterior, attics, around windows / doors, and of course everywhere in the basement.

You may have to do a complete remediation if the mold is really bad; ie: rip out carpet, rid the furniture, tear down infested walls, and replace windows, etc.  Please seek a mold specialist in these cases, they have the right equipment to handle the massive release of sickness causing mold spores that get released from the carpets and structure.

Clean the moldy area with Thieves, an essential oil blend that is proven to kill and neutralize mold. It also won’t come back.  Everyone uses bleach, which doesn’t really do the job that it “appears” to. It’s also very toxic to the respiratory system, which is already irritated from unknowingly inhaling mold.

Using Thieves Cleaner to get rid of the mess and diffuse Thieves essential oil blend to treat the rest of the home space. This is the safest natural mold killer and most effective way to recover from a mold infestation. Unfortunately, the last 3 places I have lived have silently had mold problems!

What Does Dr. Oz, My Cat, Anxiety Relief have in Common?

Weed.

Not the kind you think silly, green and brown seaweed from the ocean.

Dr. Oz recommends brown seaweed for burning belly fat, anxiety can be helped by seaweed, and my cat loves … seaweed.

Why would my cat devour sheet after sheet of seaweed, besides him being a weirdo?

(Don’t believe me, watch the video below!)

 

My personal belief is that his body and some level knows seaweed is full of minerals, which he is lacking.

Chewbacca’s coat has been a bit oily looking lately. He also acts cold all the time: crawls under the stove when it’s on, clings to humans for warmth, lays in the sun, sleeps next to heaters, etc.

Yes, some of this is normal cat behavior, but I believe he has a bit of a thyroid imbalance.

After giving him seaweed and cultured organic butter, his coat is more vibrant and not falling out anymore. He is also more active and isn’t throwing up as often (nice, I know).

So what does my cat have to do with your anxiety?

THYROID!

Thyroid imbalance is a major cause of anxiety, weight gain, hair loss, tiredness, being cold all the time, and lack of libido. Catch my drift?

Seaweed is full of thyroid nourishing minerals.

It’s cheap and available everywhere. We like to get ours at the local Asian store, they come in little snack packs.

Dr. Oz recommends it for weight loss, I recommend it for an overall happy and sane body!

Enjoy it as a stand alone snack (like my cat), sprinkle it on salads, put it in soups, or on top of steamed veggies.

Anxiety therapy can come in so many ways. One of my favorite is energy medicine pioneer Donna Eden.

Let’s say you were at the grocery store on a busy Saturday. After shopping, you get into your car and you feel just drained, your brain is scrambled, and you’re feeling anxious. You’ve been zapped! Now what?

Here’s your Natural Anxiety Therapy Tip:

When this happens to you, take a few minutes by yourself. Go to the restroom, outside, your car, a bedroom – wherever you can have a few minutes of uninterrupted time to focus on yourself. Now do this exercise from my favorite energy guru Donna Eden:

Anytime you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or just plain “not right” this simple exercise would be great to do. This is anxiety therapy on the go! I’ve used it before I lecture, when I’m attending classes, during times of anxiousness or panic, or even after talking to someone who has stressed me out.

One of my other secrets is to use an essential oil blend called Valor. Before I do the exercise in the video, I will put a few drops on my palms and take four or five deep belly breaths. Then I’ll rub the residual oil on my ears and neck. This specific blend helps me feel centered and less anxious. Then I proceed to do the exercise from the video.
