The inspiration to write it is because I am long time anxiety and panic attack sufferer and was frustrated by all the treatments I tried that never worked permanently.  When anxiety was at it&#8217;s worst, I was on a mission to uncover the root causes of why I was a hostage of how I felt. At the lowest point I was afraid to drive, go into social situations, and paced my house continuously.  I felt I &#8220;CRACKED&#8221; and thought I&#8217;d never feel normal again.</p>
<p>I found there are many things most of us do every day that  contribute to anxiety and panic attacks that can eventually leave us helpless and feeling completely debilitated.    Over the course of my recovery I documented what  worked for me and I realized there are 6 key areas  we must address in order to completely recover. <p>Warning -  side effects to building a strong endocrine system include: increased energy levels, decreased anxious / panic feelings, clearer thinking, improved skin tone, robust immunity, positive mood / outlook, balanced hormones, healthy sex drive, and normalized sleep patterns.  Who wouldn&#8217;t want these?!?!?!?!</p>
<p>The main reason I had 55 extra pounds in my body in 2006 was due to severe adrenal fatigue. <img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JENNIF%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-13.png" alt="" /><img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JENNIF%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-14.png" alt="" /><img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JENNIF%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-15.png" alt="" /> I was experiencing severe hypoglycemia, mood swings/irritability, lethargy, imbalanced hormones, not stamina, skin rashes/bumps, bloating, impaired digestion, anxiety / panic attacks, food reactions, non-regulation of body temperature &#8230; I was a total mess!!!</p>
<p>My strategy for recovery was to:</p>

<li>Regulate Sleep Pattern</li>
<li>Repair the Digestive System</li>
<li>Repair Insulin Resistance</li>
</ol>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Why is it that when we know our limit on something and if we go beyond that, we&#8217;ll feel like &#8220;junk&#8221;?  For example, I experience many food sensitivities &#8211; gluten, diary (whey/casein), caffeine, sugar, nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, potato), soy, and corn. Here&#8217;s the situation: because my body prefers that I do not eat the aforementioned items I can indulge in a TINY bit of dark chocolate.  Key word: TINY (two 1&#8243; X 1&#8243; squares).  Any more than that it is the OPPOSITE of <strong>anxiety therapy</strong>! It is an <strong>anxiety cause</strong>.</p>
<p>However, I know when I should stop.  Then, I go back for a few pieces more. &#8220;Just a few more tiny squares, I&#8217;ll be fine.&#8221;  Those few pieces take me from feeling grounded to jittery, racy, and anxious.  My good friend Cynthia always knows when I&#8217;ve overdone the chocolate because I get on the phone with her I won&#8217;t take a breath as I ramble at lightening speed for 45 minutes!  She&#8217;ll say, &#8220;Have you been eating chocolate?&#8221;.  I ask if it&#8217;s that obvious and she always gives me the honest, &#8220;Yes!&#8221;.   For me, over doing it on the chocolate is equivalent to taking a handful of speed.</p>

<p>Thank goodness for natural remedies that calm me down in a jiffy or I wouldn&#8217;t sleep for days.</p>

<p>Since the launch of this blog I have had many people contact me for consultations.  I&#8217;m not a doctor, so I cannot give medical advice. However, there is much experience to share regarding how I healed myself from anxiety, panic attacks, adrenal fatigue, hypoglycemia, and food allergies.  My anxiety therapy can now be your <strong>anxiety therapy</strong>!</p>
<p>I have decided to broaden the scope of my local practice to the internet.  If you&#8217;d like to schedule a consultation with me, send over an email at Jen@NaturalAnxietyTherapy.com. I&#8217;ll then send you my schedule of fees and we&#8217;ll book a time.  My schedule is very limited, I am accepting only a few clients a week.</p>
<p>When I work with someone I pull from the nutrition and wellness coursework I have completed, my bodywork training, and most important &#8211; my experience. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>If you are my client, it is my intention for you to understand why you feel the way you do, as well as <em>how &amp; what</em> to do about it. </strong></span> &#8220;A-HA&#8221; moments for my clients are a regular event!</p>

<p>My approach is that if you give the body what it needs and remove what&#8217;s causing problems, it will automatically heal itself.  One of my teachers said in a class, &#8220;The body never makes a mistake.&#8221;  We have identify WHY we are seeing symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, panic attacks, blood sugar swings, bowel issues, foggy thinking, weight gain, and hair loss &#8211;  then address those root causes.</p>
<p>Note that I am not a doctor, nor do I pretend to be.  One of the most important components of a successful recovery program is finding a physician who has your health as their top priority.  If you do not already have a doctor that can run tests that target the causes of your  un-wellness, I can direct you to sources to find one. My role is to help guide you back on the path of health in partnership with your doctor.</p>

Sometimes though making healthy quick, but YUMMY recipes can be challenging. Here&#8217;s one of my latest that just knocked my socks off!</p>
<p><strong>Marinated Fresh Trout:</strong></p>
<p>1 trout cleaned</p>
<p>raspberry vinegar (<a href="http://www.vomfassusa.com/" target="_blank">Vom Fass</a> is the best!)</p>
<p>olive oil</p>
<p>fresh or dried dill</p>
<p>Real Salt</p>
<p>Oyster Mushrooms &#8211; chopped</p>
<p>Marinate fish in olive oil and raspberry vinegar.  About a 2:1 ratio of the olive oil and vinegar.  Sprinkle with dill, and lightly salt.  After a few hours of marinating, pan fry in a tablespoon of coconut oil at med/high heat. Start with skin down and add all the deliciousness of the marinade!  When you flip after a cooking  the fish a minute or so, add the oyster mushrooms around the sides to cook in the marinade.  Fish is cooked when flakey and tender, it&#8217;s very quick &#8211; just a few minutes. Serve fish with mushrooms and a fresh spring greens salad!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>OK, all of you have been promised a coming ebook on <strong>anxiety therapy</strong>.  It is still coming, but later than sooner. There is no earth shattering tragedy, quite the opposite.  After speaking with information product guru Michael Port, he encouraged submitting a proposal to a publisher versus releasing it as an ebook. This is awesome news, but it creates a delay on the release. It is going to be better than ever! The process that a book goes through as it is prepared for proposal is going to make the anxiety therapy book clear, tight, and effective for all readers. I&#8217;m so excited with the concepts but can&#8217;t spill the beans!</p>
<p>No worries, there is plenty of amazing material coming out to you. In the next few days, an ebook will be released called &#8220;<a href="http://naturalanxietytherapy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/biz_burnout_sucks.pdf" target="_self">Entrepreneur Burnout Sucks: <em>4 Simple Tips to Avoid Falling Flat on Your Face at the Pinnacle of Success</em></a>&#8220;.  If you work for yourself, it&#8217;s a must read.  One of the greatest signs of an impending fall is ANXIETY!</p>
<p>Other goodies that will be coming soon to give you answers are-audios, how to videos, tele-seminars, webinars, and even a support network. There is an impending partnership with a medical doctor in California who knows how to get right to the core of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bi-polar, hormone imbalance and other &#8220;not so fun stuff&#8221;.  More to come on that &#8211; very exciting!</p>
