<p><strong>Anxiety therapy can come in so many ways. One of my favorite is energy medicine pioneer Donna Eden.</strong></p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you were at the grocery store on a busy Saturday. After shopping, you get into your car and you feel just drained, your brain is scrambled, and you&#8217;re feeling anxious. You&#8217;ve been zapped! Now what?</p>
<p><strong>Here&#8217;s your Natural Anxiety Therapy Tip:</strong></p>
<p>When this happens to you, take a few minutes by yourself. Go to the restroom, outside, your car, a bedroom &#8211; wherever you can have a few minutes of uninterrupted time to focus on yourself. Now do this exercise from my favorite energy guru Donna Eden:</p>

<p><em>Anytime you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or just plain &#8220;not right&#8221; this simple exercise would be great to do.</em> This is anxiety therapy on the go! I&#8217;ve used it before I lecture, when I&#8217;m attending classes, during times of anxiousness or panic, or even after talking to someone who has stressed me out.</p>
<p>One of my other secrets is to use an essential oil blend called <a title="Valor" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Valor</a>. Before I do the exercise in the video, I will put a few drops on my palms and take four or five deep belly breaths. Then I&#8217;ll rub the residual oil on my ears and neck. This specific blend helps me feel centered and less anxious. Then I proceed to do the exercise from the video.</p>

<p>Cleansing doesn&#8217;t have to be hard or taste like stagnant pond water.</p>
<p><strong>I love the idea of 2 scoops of this and 1/3 of a tablet of that makes the yuck go away!</strong></p>
<p>It can be that simple, that&#8217;s the way is should be. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>The first time I did this cleanse, I was so excited and relieved that everything was outlined for me. </strong>I&#8217;m not so great at keeping myself on track, that darn wagon is so easy to fall off of.</p>
<p>In case you missed the directions, you can find them <a href="http://naturalanxietytherapy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/pip-5day_cleanse.pdf">HERE</a>.  I tweaked it a bit and made it my own, of course!</p>
<p>A few things were changed up so that I could really work on the inflammation I&#8217;ve been feeling the last few months.  The juice before bed is meant to pull out acid and help my body become more alkaline. The <strong>Omega Blue</strong> helps inflammation as well because of the omega 3&#8242;s from the fish oil.</p>
<p><strong>The other angle I took for reducing inflammation was to target the adrenals.</strong> The PD 80/20 is pregnenolone and DHEA &#8211; both help a stressed set of adrenal glands.  The best way I have found to help kick start the hypothalamus is to place some DHEA under the tongue. It doesn&#8217;t have any taste thank goodness!</p>
<p>The other endocrine helper I used were the Thyromin in the morning, Endoflex in the lunch smoothie, and 4 Multigreens with dinner. Thyromin and Multigreens helps my low thyroid and give me energy &#8211; without stimulants.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>This cleanse can be done without added supplements, but I had chronic nagging pain to get rid of so I hit it hard!</strong> It worked. As a result, my pain level is down 50%. I&#8217;m going to do the cleanse again in a few weeks and see what happens, why not?</p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Without further ado, here&#8217;s the custom adrenal building / anti-inflammatory 5 day whole body detox I created for myself:</strong></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>RIGHT WHEN I WOKE UP:</strong></p>
<p>8 ounce glass of water with ½ a fresh lemon or lime juice</p>
<p>1/3 of a capsule of PD 80/20 under my tongue, holding it for one minute</p>
<p><strong>BREAKFAST:</strong></p>
<p>2 scoops Balance Complete with ½ dropper of YL Stevia and 5 drops orange oil</p>
<p>3 Thyromin</p>
<p>3 Omega Blue</p>
<p>1 Digest &amp; Cleanse</p>
<p>2 Comfortone</p>
<p><strong>SNACK:</strong></p>
<p>3 ounces Ningxia Red</p>
<p>½ Cup Granny Smith Apple, Berries, or Bing Cherries</p>
<p><strong>LUNCH:</strong></p>
<p>2 scoops Balance Complete with ½ dropper of YL Stevia, 1 drop Endoflex Oil</p>
<p>1 Super B (expect a niacin flush!)</p>
<p>Snack:</p>
<p>2 ounces of Almonds, Walnuts, or Pine Nuts</p>
<p>½ Cup Granny Smith Apple, Berries, or Bing Cherries</p>

<p><strong>Not a day goes by without something hurting; I&#8217;m sick and tired of the inflammation.</strong></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve had this problem since puberty hit.  If it&#8217;s connective tissue, I&#8217;ll get pain in it. Tendons, ligaments, fascia &#8211; it&#8217;s non-discriminatory.  I&#8217;m surprised my hair doesn&#8217;t hurt.</p>
<p>After visiting my chiro friend last week (<a title="Chris Danduran Site" href="http://dakotahealthsolutions.com" target="_blank">Dr. Chris Danduran</a>), he suggested I get back to basics and clean house.  So that&#8217;s what I&#8217;m doing!</p>
<p>Toxins that aren&#8217;t leaving my body are creating a back up (kinda like a clogged drain) that is resulting in inflammation in my joints.  <em>The liver, kidney, and adrenals are typically associated with connective tissue pain.</em></p>
<p><strong>Foggy thinking, anxiety, bloating, exhaustion, inability to lose weight are other possible signs a it is time for a cleanse. </strong></p>
<p>I feel like I have done every type of cleanse in the past 10 years. Colon cleanses, liver cleanses, heavy metal cleanses, parasite cleanses, gall bladder cleanses &#8230; am I forgetting anything?</p>
<p>Not a fan of the Master Cleanse (<strong>Lemonade Diet</strong>) or of complete calorie restricted fasting.  I feel they are hard on the body and in my case, both times I did the Master Cleanse it created a massive yeast bloom and I believe it contributed to my insulin resistance problems.</p>
<p><strong>My educated opinion on the lemonade diet?</strong> Drinking massive amounts of maple syrup water for 10 days isn&#8217;t a good idea. So what if it has lemons and cayenne, those can be easly added to other cleansing programs. Oh, and the idea of switching out the maple syrup for the pure fructose Agave is a REALLY bad idea (unless you want to become severely insulin resistant.)</p>
<p><em><strong>On the other hand, herbs and teas are great for cleansing, but they can be very depleting if not done correctly. </strong></em>If we deplete, deplete, deplete then the body gets weak.  Intense herbal cleansing should be done under the guidance of a health practitioner.</p>
<p>If the body is given the tools it needs, it can do it&#8217;s job properly.</p>
<p><strong>The types of cleanses I love are packed full of nutrients that will help the body detoxify itself. </strong> The liver needs all sorts of stuff so that it can convert toxins to a form that can leave the body.  Then the colon needs ammo so it can capture the toxins and escort them out of the body.</p>
<p>If a person isn&#8217;t careful, the toxins can get all stirred up and go onto the re-location program, ie: get moved around from within and never leave your body.  SUPER DUPER YUCK FACTOR!</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but when I want to clean my body I want the trash to get taken out.  Stirring up toxins so they go somewhere else is not a good idea, been there and done that. Plus, I don&#8217;t want to blow out (excuse my crudeness) my backside.  That&#8217;s not necessary.</p>
<p>The cleanse I am doing is a combo of two that I&#8217;ve done in the past, the <a title="How to Do the 5 Day Cleanse" href="http://naturalanxietytherapy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/pip-5day_cleanse.pdf" target="_blank">5 Day Nutritive Cleanse</a> and juicing.   I&#8217;ve put it together so it&#8217;s easy and tastes good.</p>
<p><strong>Nothing worse than holding your nose to choke down some slimy pond scum! </strong></p>
<p>A whole body cleanse that tastes good without bathroom emergencies and is simple? Yes, it&#8217;s possible.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">3 super awesome tasting meal replacements</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">a digestive toner</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">adrenal adaptogen infusion</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">maybe some additional herbs</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">I know the above outline is super vague.  My goal is to get rid of inflammation, toxins, and maybe a few pounds.  As each day goes by I am going to tweak my plan in order to get the results I want.</p>

<p><strong>Anxiety relief can be found many places. </strong></p>
<p>We hear about tapping on pressure points or thinking ourselves back to the planet when we are about to skyrocket to the outer orbits with panic or anxiety. But honestly, when I was in the midst of an attack &#8211; I couldn&#8217;t remember where to tap!</p>
<p><em>In fight or flight, my mind would go blank. All I could remember to do was reach in my pocket and grab one of &#8220;my oils&#8221;.</em></p>
<p>I could get grounded enough to open the cap, put a few drops on my palm to apply to the back of my neck and under my nose. <strong> Then, I was back to earth and the surge of adrenaline would subside.</strong></p>
<p>Sensuous exotic flowers and ancient uplifting resins were my saviors during the time in 2007 when I crashed and burned for months my docs couldn&#8217;t figure out what was triggering the relentless panic, anxiety, paranoia, and weird thoughts.</p>
<p><strong>What kept me &#8220;hangin&#8217; on&#8221; during desperate times were the essential oils I applied to the back of my neck, feet, and belly numerous times a day. </strong></p>
<p>Something as simple as a little glass bottle would bring me immediate relief when anxiety would strike.  There were four oils I liked the best, two blends called Valor and Harmony along with two singles called frankincense and ylang ylang.  Of course there were other <strong><a title="Find out about Young Living" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Young Living Oils</a></strong> I used; however, these were the fantastic four.</p>
<p>Daily I&#8217;d use Valor on the bottom of my feet first thing after my morning shower before I put my sockies on.  Harmony I&#8217;d apply to my belly because I always felt like there was a rogue train blasting through it.</p>
<p>&#8216;The sweet earthy blend I&#8217;d make up for my emotions was a few drops of ylang ylang mixed with frankincense. I&#8217;d apply this to the base of my skull, ears, and temples. I&#8217;d also diffuse (not burn) this dynamic duo while I slept at night to help me settle down to sleep.</p>
<p>Thank goodness I had been using essential oils for many years prior to becoming sick. I had the &#8220;good stuff&#8221; that worked versus chemical who-knows-what from health or bath stores.  Being a scientist, I knew those could be filled with chemicals and other nasties that  would make my already crazy brain worse. No way Jose!</p>
<p><strong>Oils helped me pull through a tough time of my life. </strong> But I haven&#8217;t retired them!  Now a days they help my sleeping, low thyroid, sore muscles, and the best part &#8230;  <em>I love they way they smell</em>!</p>
<p><strong>Oils are my best friend because they work so fast. One whiff and I feel comforted. </strong></p>

<p>I always know when I&#8217;m fighting off a bug because I feel restless and anxious.  The day before it hits me, I feel lightheaded too.  If I can catch these subtle cues, I can often pull out the voodoo and kick it before it kicks me!  I have my favorite arsenal of goodies that support my body with it&#8217;s effort to annihilate the virus.</p>
<p>First, <a title="Find out about Ningxia Red" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Ningxia Red</a> (of course) gave me the ammo to put my immune system in overdrive. This time, I did 3 ounces twice a day.  Second, <a title="Find out about Essentialzyme" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Essentialzyme</a> metabolic enzymes (3 caps, three times a day).  Enzymes go after that virus like a homing device programmed to find it&#8217;s target. KA POW, break it down!  Third, my oil diffuser was full of <a title="Breathe Again is here" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Breathe Again</a> because I got congested and I needed something to keep away the possibility of a bronchial infection.  Fourth, Emergen C Immune Defense fizzy drink to fuel my body with more strength to fight the nasty flu bug. I love the 1000 mg of vitamin C I get in the Emergen C&#8217;s!  Fifth, <a title="Find Longevity here" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Longevity Capsules</a> contain essential oils known to kill virus and support the immune system.  I did one capsule in the morning and one in the evening.</p>
<p>And last, but most important of all was my <a title="Life 5 is found here" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Life 5</a>. On the day I could feel my body fighting, I took 4 Life 5&#8242;s. On day two and three I took 3, and day four I took 2.  I will continue to take one or two an evening before bed until all signs of the flu are gone.  Life 5 have 8 billion live cultures of super strain, anti-biotic resistant good bacteria your intestines need to fight off any nasty cooties such as the flu.  Most people don&#8217;t realize, but the gut is where viruses tend to start out first. If you are carefully attentive to how you feel, you&#8217;ll notice subtle cues your body is fighting a virus even before you see any full blown symptoms. These cues are gas, minor constipation, or slightly loose bowel movements.  When I sense any of these signs I take copious amounts of pro-biotics and amp up my game with the  immune support I mentioned in the previous paragraph.</p>
<p>I can only speculate why I get anxious when I&#8217;m fighting a virus.  My guess is that because the adrenals are in overdrive when the immune system is under attack, they can&#8217;t perform their duty of keeping everything calm, cool, and parasympathetic.  My body was in &#8220;fight or flight&#8221; with a virus attacking it, so my calm brain chemicals went out the window temporarily and I felt anxious and restless.  My solution: pop 200 mg of GABA.   Poof, anxiety gone. GABA is available at most health food stores. It calmed down my body and mind because GABA is the neurotransmitter that make us feel everything is A-OK.</p>
<p>Luckily, the worst thing this flu gave me was a fever for 4 days. To handle that discomfort I took epsom salt / baking soda baths with Joy oil added.  Occasionally, I popped only one Advil because for reasons I cannot understand, the fever inflamed my left hip bursae as if someone lit a blow torch in there. It hurt so badly I couldn&#8217;t sleep, weird huh?</p>
<p>I warded off any secondary bronchial infections by doing &#8220;my thing&#8221; as I mentioned above.  Every time I get a virus that affects my respiratory system I go into full combat mode to protect my lungs.  They are one of my weakest organs and if bronchitis develops, I will cough for at least 3 months. GRRRR, but not this time around!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s now day 5 and I have a little lingering cough and fatigue, but that&#8217;s it.  Most people aren&#8217;t doing this well after being hit like this.  I am grateful for GABA and Joy oil helping with the anxiety this virus stirred up. I&#8217;m also grateful for the oils, herbs, and other healing tools I have access to that keep me going healthy and strong.  Just remember, anxiety is usually caused by a physical imbalance in the body. It&#8217;s our body&#8217;s way of trying to communicate something is not right and out of balance. The tricky part is playing detective and figuring out what exactly is going on!</p>

As I&#8217;m finishing my schoolwork for my Master&#8217;s that is due next week, I was wondering what to post this week.  Unfortunately I don&#8217;t have a bunch of time due to my deadline to type a super long post, but I ran across a fabulous video that might be more fun regardless!</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a brief little video of a news clip that gives you and introduction to my favorite essential oils from <a title="Go to Young Living's Website" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Young Living</a>.  I have been using them for myself for 10 years and in practice for 9 years. They work so fast to relieve everything from muscle pain to overwhelming stress.  I personally use them everyday and cannot imagine life without them. What kept me &#8220;hanging in there&#8221; when I was experiencing panic 24/7 were these oils.  That is why I&#8217;m sharing them with you, because I know they work and give hope when it&#8217;s needed most.</p>

<p>Oils work super fast, that&#8217;s why I love them. I&#8217;m impatient! Our noses process aroma and we react to it faster than our brain can process it. Sight, sound, taste, and touch are processed by the brain before we have an emotional reaction.  Smell is the most basic of senses, even the most ancient of creatures process chemicals and they don&#8217;t even have eyeballs or a tongue!</p>
<p>What that means for you and I is if we are experiencing an unpleasant emotion and then inhale an essential oil that has properties known to calm the sympathetic nervous system, we respond quickly.  When our sympathetic nervous system is in overdrive, we experience anxiety, panic &#8230; AKA: fight or flight.</p>
<p>Problem is that almost all of the essential oils being sold are chemically changed or altered in some way. You might be thinking, &#8220;so what?&#8221;.  Well, most of these chemicals used to expand or make bad oils test like good oils in a lab are toxic to our nervous system.  They are also toxic to our liver and endocrine glands.  Just what we need if we&#8217;re experiencing anxiety right?  We&#8217;re already experiencing stress in those areas of our body, that is why we feel the way we do. Then add more chemicals, it&#8217;s a big problem.</p>
<p>People think rubbing or whiffing some lavender from the local health food store is going to help their anxiety.  What they don&#8217;t know is that they could be getting a good does of chemicals like toluene and methyl ethyl ketone &#8211; both are extremely toxic.  I have known people who purchased health food store oils and wound up in their doctors office having seizures.  Their blood results showed they were being exposed to toxic chemicals, which traced back to the chemically altered &#8216;frankincense&#8217; they thought they were saving money on.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t let this stop you from using essential oils.  Using safe quality essential oils will work faster than any Xanax, at lease that was my experience with <a title="Stress Away" href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Stress Away</a>.  I&#8217;d start to feel that wave of panic coming on, I&#8217;d pull out my oil and take a good deep breath and I was fine.  Other oils that I&#8217;ve used through my healing journey are <a title="go to Anxiety Oils " href="http://anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Harmony, Grounding, Valor, and coriander</a>. All of these helped me feel more balanced and centered as I was working on healing my body.  Anxiety therapy hasn&#8217;t smelled so good!</p>

<p>But why would we want to use essential oils? How do they work?  What are they?  I am going to do a series of posts on essential oils because they are one of the fastest and safest forms of relief I have found for myself and my clients. In an instant a deep inhalation of <a title="Stress Relief" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Stress Away blend</a> can take me out of fight or flight and back to serenity when I&#8217;m stuck in a traffic jam.</p>
<p>Essential oils are the protective forces of a plant. They are what make herbs, conifer trees, seeds, flowers, roots, and tree resins have aroma.  Have you ever been in an herb garden and smelled your hands after running them through a peppermint plant?  Or at Holiday time enjoyed the fragrance of a Christmas tree?  You&#8217;re smelling the essential oils!</p>
<p>Essential oils are volatile (evaporates quickly) liquid and not greasy like olive or vegetable oils.  They work so quickly because they are instantly absorbed through the skin and are distributed throughout the body.</p>
<p>They also affect the brain as soon as they are inhaled, think of the nose is an extension of our brain. It is the most rudimentary and ancient of senses and we get a response faster via aroma than if we experienced stimulus through the eyes, ears, or touch.  The olfactory nerve in the nose is a part our limbic system &#8211; the seat of our emotions.  Oils that have relaxing and calming properties reach the limbic system during a deep inhalation and can result in the <em>AHHHH</em> of relief.</p>
<p>When I was very sick and the anxiety was 24/7, I used essential oils to keep me grounded and &#8220;hanging in there&#8221; while my doctors figured out what was wrong with me.  I did not want to use addictive drugs like benzodiazepenes (Xanex and Valium).  So, I used <a title="Harmony and Grounding oils" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Harmony and Grounding oils</a> applied to the on the base of my neck, temples, and abdomen.  I even diffused them at night while I slept!</p>
<p>Please, whatever you do &#8230; don&#8217;t run out to the health food store and get essential oils.  Almost all commercially available oils have man made chemicals in them that can mess up an anxious or depressed brain even worse. <p>Many recipes call for agave as a sweetener and deem it as &#8220;SAFE&#8221; for hypoglycemia, diabetes, and insulin resistance.  I have read new reports saying that it is jacks up the liver because it&#8217;s pure fructose and many of the harvesting/processing methods are questionable (See Mercola.com).  I don&#8217;t know if all that is true. All I know is when I use agave my blood sugar flies all over the place; I can&#8217;t regulate it.  When I stopped using agave the I was able to really heal my insulin resistance issues. Remember, my panic and anxiety attacks were directly associated with blood sugar spikes and crashes.  So not only did my blood sugar regulate, the panic and anxiety improved.  Agave is NOT anxiety therapy!</p>
<p>This is why I choose maple syrup, it&#8217;s sucrose not fructose.  The higher the grade the better, A is lightest and C is darkest.  Grade B and C syrups taste wicked good, are full of minerals, and they have a low glycemic index of 54. BUT, it has a high glycemic load. Which means the blood sugar rises and can crash down if the there is not enough fat, fiber, and protein on the back end of the food to stabilize levels.  I love this recipe because it has a ton of fat, fiber, and protein which don&#8217;t make you fat, it&#8217;s the spiking and crashing of your blood sugar that does.</p>
<p>Another trick I do is cut back on the main sugar type sweetener and add <a title="Young Livings Stevia" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">stevia</a>. For this recipe, I use <a title="Young Livings Stevia" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Young Living&#8217;s stevia</a>. It is the true extract, not the clear stuff you find commercially. It is sweet, but it is also high in minerals and has the blood sugar balancing health benefits of the stevia herb due to it&#8217;s high level of chromium.</p>
<p>The flour that is used is coconut, which is 58% fiber and 15% coconut oil.  Bran is only 27% fiber! Very few people are allergic to coconut, so it&#8217;s considered hypoallergenic.  I love the taste and when baked goods made with it are fresh, it is not cononutty.  Coconut flour is now found in many grocery stores in the health food section.</p>
<p>So what&#8217;s YLTG oils?  They are <a title="Young Living Oils" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Young Living Therapeutic Grade</a> essential oils. I use them medicinally for myself and in my practice. However, they taste great too!  I would never, ever, ever recommend using a store bought oil for ingestion. So please, if you make this recipe use <a title="Young Living Oils" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">Young Living&#8217;s Oils</a> only.</p>
<p>The best part about this cake is that it is rich and satisfying.   The texture is like a pound cake and it is very moist.  Each piece has the equivalent of one egg in it!!!  So enjoy and don&#8217;t feel guilt with this wonderful treat.</p>

<h1>THE CAKE ITSELF:</h1>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Ingredients:</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>¾ C coconut flour – sifted</p>
<p>¼ c Dutch coco powder – sifted</p>
<p>1 teaspoon Redmond RealSalt</p>
<p>1 tsp baking soda</p>
<p>10 eggs</p>
<p>1 cup grapeseed oil</p>
<p>1 cup Grade B maple syrup</p>
<p>½ tsp stevia (English Toffee and Vanilla Crème flavors can be used also)</p>
<p>1 tblsp vanilla extract</p>
<p>10 drops of <a title="Young Living Orange Oil" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">YLTG orange oil</a></p>
<p>2 drops of <a title="Young Living Abundance Oil" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">YLTG Abundance oil</a></p>

<h3>Instructions:</h3>
<p>- Grease two 9” round pans with butter or coconut oil.</p>
<p>- In a small bowl mix the coconut flour, coco powder, salt and baking soda. Set aside</p>
<p>- In a large bowl add the 10 eggs. Whisk lightly to break the yolks. Add the grapeseed oil, maple syrup, stevia, vanilla, orange oil, and Abundance oil.  Blend with hand mixer until thoroughly combined.  Make sure the maple syrup is mixed in, because it is heavy it has a tendancy to settle at the bottom.</p>
<p>- Immediately add the dry mixture to the eggs. Blend with a hand mixer until smooth and even.</p>
<p>- Bake at 325 for 30 to 40 minutes.  Half way through, rotate the cake pan 180 degrees to ensure even baking. Check with a tester to ensure batter is completely cooked. Cake will be spongy and firm.</p>
<p>- Remove from oven and place in a well ventilated area.  Cake will pull away from edges and be easy to remove when completely cool in the pans.</p>

<h1>THE SIMPLE &amp; SINFUL FROSTING:</h1>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Ingredients:</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>1 ½ cup of semi sweet chocolate chips (Enjoy Life makes allergen free)</p>
<p>¾ cup of grapeseed oil</p>
<p>2 tablespoons of Grade B maple syrup</p>
<p>¼ tsp of <a title="Young Livings Stevia" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">stevia</a></p>
<p>2 tblsp of vanilla</p>
<p>Pinch of Redmond RealSalt</p>
<p>10 to 15 drops <a title="Young Living Abundance Oil" href="http://www.anxietytherapyremedies.com" target="_blank">YLTG Abundance oil</a> (15 drops is strong, but yummy!)</p>
<h3>Instructions:</h3>
<p>- In a small saucepan over very low heat, melt chocolate and add grapeseed oil.  Do not allow to boil or “cook”.</p>
<p>- Turn off heat and wisk in maple syrup, stevia, vanilla, salt, and Abundance oil.</p>
<p>- Place pan in freezer for 15 to 20 minutes to cool.  Do not allow to cool solid, it will not fluff up and be spreadable.</p>
<p>- Remove frosting from freezer when cool.  Mix with hand blender to add air. This will increase volume and make it easy to spread.</p>
<p>- Place about 1/3 of the frosting on top of the first layer of cake. Spread to the edges.  Place the top layer over the bottom.  Spread on the remainder of frosting.</p>

<p>Super yummy with ice cream. We recommend Breyer’s Natural chocolate or vanilla – it’s not full of man made junk. Or, Turtle Mountain’s coconut ice cream!</p>
